As we launch into summer, Puff has some interesting cannabis news items to report.

Cannabis at Stern Grove
Solful Dispensary announced that they will be the first cannabis sponsor in the 88-year history of the Stern Grove Festival, which identifies itself as “the nation’s longest-running free non-profit music festival.”
Watch for a Solful booth offering, according to the brand, “education, engagement, and community connection” on June 15 for the California Honeydrops, July 20 for Chromeo and Girl Talk, July 27 for Orville Peck, August 3 for Michael Franti & Spearhead, and August 16 for Damian and Stephen Marleys at Big Picnic Weekend.
To celebrate the occasion, Solful has put together a $150 (total product value: $200) Stern Grove festival kit that includes limited-edition items and tickets to the festival (which are free, but usually available by lottery). They are available at all three of their locations in San Francisco, Healdsburg, and Sebastopol.
The kit comes in a special canvas tote bag designed by San Franpsycho and will contain 3.5g of Solful’s premium flower, pre-roll four-pack from Sonoma Hills Farm, Kanha gummies, three-pack of mini blunts from Bluto, a Pax Strawberry Cough vape, an Almora Farms 100mg strawberry lemonade, and a Papa and Barkley CBD Releaf Balm.
That should cover a good afternoon of partying—for you and your friends. [Editor’s note: keep in mind you’re still not officially allowed to consume at the festival, so keep it on the low.]
I’ve been to many concerts at Stern Grove, plan on seeing several this summer, and can’t wait to check out the booth. I hope everyone supports the effort, so we can have cannabis representation at city events become the norm.

Hash Week beckons
It’s still a bit early, but go ahead and mark your calendar for the second Hash Week taking place July 8-14. Producer David Downs (Leafly, SF Space Walk) is back with seven nights of product drops all around the Bay Area including Urbana Oakland, Flore Dispensary Castro, 7 Stars in Richmond, Moe Greens, CBCB Chapel of Flowers, and Solful Dispensary with added parties at The Midway, Mission Bowl, and more.
Downs told us:
In terms of local stuff, expect local hash from Fire King, San Francisco native-owned Soulful’s new dabs, parties at Moe Greens, Castro’s Flore store, the storied Green Door, and Urbana-Geary. Plus books, like coloring books from local artist Jinko Mizuno, from Last Gasp Publishing in the Mission.
For new and exciting, there is the bowling party and a big warehouse party at The Midway full of new dabs like Maddfruit and delicate Piatella-style hash.
It’s going to feature Kalya’s H*sh Tour with Bosky and Dunkz, Ridgeline Farms, Huckleberry Hill, Kiva-Lost Farm, Dr. Dabber, Jetty, Terphogz, Ay Papi, Canna Country, Purple City Genetics, Zeed Vault, Raw Garden. Plus glass, art, clothing, books, DJs, a projection light show, tacos, and more.
Wow, that party followed by a nap sounds like a super fun time!
Downs always creates a great party with a good vibe, and it’s great to see more cannabis programming for the Bay Area, especially on July 10, which is called 710 day (the word OIL upside down, I know… stoners) and celebrates all things made of cannabis oil and extracts.
“California is the best place to not only grow but consume weed and hash. That’s a climatic fact. We just have to keep collaborating and executing,” said Downs.

Ripndip and Hemper’s Cat Bong
Finally, I always love to see what Hemper comes up with for us to smoke cannabis. The latest bong they released is part of a collaboration with the clothing line Ripndip and very appropriate for the times, the High Nermal Bong featuring Ripstop’s bong-smoking, bird flipping feline character Lord Nermal.
Let’s send a gross of these to Washington DC! They go for $100, and there are always fun extras that Hemper throws in with your purchase.
That’s the cannabis news for now. I will be back soon with my yearly Cannabis Pride Kit full of fun stuff to get you high and happy for your June festivities.
If you have a queer cannabis Pride event happening in the Bay Area, please send me the details at [email protected], and I will try and include it in my Pride column in a couple of weeks.
Now, I’m going to light up.
